To ensure that the quality of our performances remains at the high level we have become renowned for we do ask that all those intending to sing in any concert meet a minimum level of attendance.  As a general rule this is 75%.  The precise number of 'must attend' rehearsals will be decided by our MD, based on the complexity of the music that term.

In all cases however the rehearsal on the day of the concert, along with the one immediately preceding the concert are mandatory.  In addition, if you are not planning to sing on the concert day, but have been coming along to rehearsals for the sheer pleasure of singing, we would respectfully ask that you don't attend the last Tuesday before concert day.


Subs are payable each term, and vary depending on the length of the rehearsal period.
The subs are set at a level to cover the society's fixed costs; i.e. all the non-concert costs. 

These are not insignificant, at almost £9000 over a typical 39/40 weeks of rehearsals, and include; school hire, MD fee, Repetiteur fee, Annual Insurance, Website, Library membership & hire fees. For 2019/20 term of 40 weeks they will equate to just £4 per week.
